Nestled on the corner of South Fair Oaks Avenue and El Camino Real sits Arka Restaurant, Bar & Lounge. Akra, which was named for the Sun, is here to lend its energy and nourishment to Sunnyvale. The clean lines and modern decor come as a surprise to most guests. Whether coming to enjoy dinner with family or just to enjoy a drink with friends after work, the atmosphere is always inviting and contemporary. 

The menu created and lead by Consulting Chef Sachin Chopra in collaboration with Executive Chef Surbeer Rawat is unique. Region meets region, Northern flatlands meets Southern coastal, in an explosion of flavor and innovative style. Tandoori kebabs, curries, dosas, naan are just a few the favorites here, but certainly not all there is to offer. Dietary restrictions such as gluten free and vegetarian are all clearly labeled on the menu, making it easy for guests to find. 

Lunch is a buffet setting that allows guests to try dishes from all over India. There are traditional dishes that are served along side modern and innovative interpretation of the classics of Indian cuisine. There is a combination of dishes suitable for everyone's taste making this a great family choice for lunch. 

The Dinner Menu offers appetizers, soups and salads, tandoori specialties, vegetarian and non vegetarian choices along with an array of tandoori breads. Friday through Sunday biryani specialties are available as well. After enjoying satisfying dinner be sure to check out the dessert menu. Lychee Kheer and Lemongrass Brulee are two of our most raved about desserts. 

Don't have time for a full sit down dinner or just want to have a nice place to enjoy a refreshing beverage? Check out the Bar & Lounge. The bar is fully stocked and has an international flair serving beers, wines, and cocktails. Hungry for a quick bite? There is a great bar menu as well. Happy Hour is from 3pm to 7pm and from 9pm to close daily.
